The debate about the future of AI hinges on a few key questions. Worldview maps where researchers, forecasters and lab leaders split, using only dated quotes linked to their sources. Pick a question below to see the cruxes that divide people on it, and open anyone in the People for their views and reasoning.
A crux is a reason behind a disagreement. For each claim we compare people who agree with it against people who disagree, and check whether that lines up with their answer to the headline question.
Split is how evenly people divide on the claim (0 = everyone agrees, 1 = an even split). Predicts answer is how closely their view on it tracks their answer to the headline question (−1 to +1). Crux score = split × |predicts answer|. A claim scores high only when people disagree about it and that disagreement lines up with their answer. The groups are small, and lining up is not proof that one view causes the other.
